Marble exits the mayor's house only to trip on something sitting right outside the door. Looking up he sees a mound of sand with a crudely drawn face on it, very similar to the one he made yesterday, "Darned kids, they were supposed to stay on the ship! I bet Jakoby did this, he's always playing jokes on people." Marble stands, brushing himself off before heading off back to the beach. As he waddles off he hears a strange "sshhhhhhhh" behind him. He turns but sees nothing. Giving a confused shrug he continues on his way but the strange sound seems to follow him. He stops again and looks down, seeing the mound of sand sitting as his feet, some distance from where it was earlier. Thoroughly confused and curious Marble squats down and pokes the hill. A sandy pseudopodpoo reaches out from it and pokes him back. Marble falls back with a shout, "Ah! What are you?!" The pile of sand shifts in place, the rasp of it particles tumbling together actually forming a pattern familiar to Marble, "Sand? Well of course you're sand! And how do you speak Geon?" Gasp "Are you a local sand Geon or something?" The mound shifts once again, "What? No, I didn't make you. And what's a golem?" . . . . "You don't know? Well you're no help. Come on, let's see if someone here knows where you're from." Marble sets down his arm and the mound of sand flows up and over it, resting on his shoulder. "Hehee, that tickles! Alright Sandy, let's head down to the beach!" Marble and his small companion March down to the beach to help dispose of the crabs and ask some questions.
